Photography FAQs
General Questions:
-
Where is your studio located? Our studio is in the heart of Brighouse, easily accessible by car and public transport. The address is: Martin House, Martin Street, Brighouse, HD6 1DA
-
Is your studio baby-friendly? Absolutely! We have a comfortable, warm environment with soft seating, changing facilities, and refreshments available.
-
Is your studio accessible? I'm afraid this is what makes me the most sad about my studio. It is up on the second floor and accessible by stairs. Having a mum who also uses a wheelchair, I understand how frustrating this is, however if you let me know, I will always acommodate your needs and family and find a suitable alternative. Whether this is bringing a set up to your home, or choosing an outdoor location.
-
Can I bring siblings or other family members? Yes! We welcome family members and siblings. Let us know in advance so we can plan the session accordingly. There is a separate play area for older siblings to use while they wait with toys, films and books. For newborn sessions older siblings can either be taken home once the family portion is done, or head into town for a walk or over the road to the park for a play if I'm struggling to get baby settled with them in the studio.
-
How long does a photography session last? It depends on which session you book! My Studio portraits, outdoor portraits, rock the box sessions all last an hour each as this is just for your and your family, or extended family sessions. My mini sessions last 20 minutes, and is for one family unit only. My newborn sessions can last between 2-3 hours which allows for feeding, changing, cuddling as well as the photography. My full and half day pacakges are as stated in the session information.
-
What should I bring for my photoshoot? I always recommend brining two lots of clothes, just incase there are any spillages, or toilet issues for little ones, and babies. Newborns will be provided with everything they need so please just bring along your changing bag and milk. Birthday sessions, you'll need a towel and your usual bubble bath for little ones with sensitive skin.
-
What if my baby is unsettled during the session? We allow plenty of time for feeding, cuddling, and soothing. Our sessions are relaxed and baby-led.

Can sessions be cancelled by Jupiter Moon? Yes! There are very rare occasions that I have had to cancel sessions, usually this is when I'm poorly or my children are. Due to needing to be so close to you, I always prefer to make sure I'm 100% before being near babies, pregnant mamas and little children. I will notify you as soon as I know I won't be able to do your session, and offer an alternative date, or a full refund of your session fee.
-
Do I lose my deposit if I need to cancel? If you cancel with enough notice, we can transfer your deposit to a future session. However, if you cancel last-minute without rescheduling, the deposit may be non-refundable. If on the day of your session you arrive late without prior notifiation, your session will be cancelled. Clients who arrive 20 minutes late without notification will forfeit their session fee and their session will be cancelled. You'll need to re-book and pay again for a new date and time.
